The Special Events Center is located on the property immediately north of the National Bowling Stadium. The building accommodates conventions, exhibitions, plenary sessions, ballroom functions, concerts, ring spectator sports and other activities. CFA’s role was to coordinate with local agencies and utility providers to facilitate the demolition of an entire city block for the new structure. CFA was also responsible for providing services in civil engineering, surveying and landscape architecture. A ground breaking ceremony was held in January 2004. Construction occurred over a 12-month period and a grand opening was held in February 2005.
