When mother nature shut job sites down CFA decided to get creative to keep their field personnel working while also helping the community. In coordination with Washoe County Senior Services, CFA field surveyors hit the streets to provide snow removal to area seniors, disabled or those otherwise in need. CFA crews visited over 60 residences during the 2023 January “Snowpocalypse” to make sure people could get in and out of their homes and sometimes making sure that their caregivers could get to them.
We did it to support our community. The community noticed and Channel 2 was there to report on our efforts.

The Sparks Consolidated project with RTC spanned four roadways in Sparks. These include: 15th Street ( from C Street to Prater Way), Franklin Way (from the Union Pacific Railroad crossing to East Greg Street), Hulda Court, and the sidewalk on the east side of El Rancho Drive. Correction of localized drainage deficiencies, reconstruction of existing ADA ramps, driveway reconstruction, and removal and replacement of the structural sections were among the repairs. As the project comes to a close in October, the rehabilitated roads and sidewalk can be seen in Sparks. CFA’s Civil Engineering team developed the plans for the road repairs and the Survey team provided the design survey and construction staking. The roadway work was completed by Spanish Springs Construction Inc.
