NORTHERN NEVADA CHILD & ADOLESCENT SERVICES – ADA UPGRADES

CFA provided civil engineering services to provide ADA Access from the north end of the Campus to the south end of the campus while still maintaining multiple access points to the pathway. The design cOnsisted of seven curvilinear ramps down the hillside as to not exceed the maximum allowable slope and still tie into the existing walkways adjacent to the pathway. The pathway weaved through the existing landscaping and trees as to not create any unnecessary tree removal or relocation. The project required close coordination with State Public Works and the Architect.Technical Specifications of civil items for the project were also provided and included with the architectural specifications for bidding purposes. During the construction phase, we worked closely with the contractor to make sure that all the forms were properly placed, prior to the pouring of concrete, through a few different site visits.
