Construction Survey Coordinator

CFA, Inc. is a Northern Nevada Land Surveying, Civil Engineering and Land Use Planning firm that has been in business since 1981. We are seeking an experienced Construction Survey Coordinator with a diverse skill set and knowledge of the industry. This position is responsible for coordinating construction survey operations with clients and field crews and preparing construction calculations.

The ideal qualified candidate will have the following skills and experience

  • Minimum of 5-years previous experience in land surveying with a construction emphasis.
  • License as a Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Nevada or ability to obtain within 6-months is preferred.
  • Experience with AutoDesk AutoCAD computer assisted drafting software, with preference given to the candidate with prior Civil 3D experience.
  • Prior experience preparing calculations for construction surveying is required including analysis and interpretation of construction documents of all disciplines as needed to translate paper plans to survey stakes used in the construction of site improvements.
  • Coordination with clients and contractors. Scheduling and support of field crews.
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to import, export and analyze survey data from office to field and back. Prior experience with Trimble Business Center software is a plus.
  • Requires good organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced dynamic environment
