Michael J. Miller, P.L.S.
Director of Surveying
Mr. Miller joined CFA in 1998 and has over 30 years of professional survey and mapping experience. He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Treasurer of the corporation. As the Director of the Surveying Department, he is responsible for developing estimates and preparing proposals for survey and mapping projects, preparing easements and various types of recorded mapping, resolving boundary issues, and directing GPS planning operations. Mr. Miller also oversees quality control on all surveying and mapping projects. He is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in California and Nevada and a certified Nevada State Water Rights Surveyor. He is active in the Nevada Association of Land Surveyors. Mr. Miller received a Bachelor of Science in Surveying and Photogrammetry from California State University, Fresno.

Robert O. LaRiviere, P.L.S.
Senior Surveyor
Mr. LaRiviere has over 25 years of surveying experience and is an Associate with CFA. He is responsible for coordinating CFA’s surveying and mapping services with clients, contractors, and CFA’s field crews. His knowledge and experience enable him to schedule survey crews and resources in a cost-effective and efficient manner, thereby, keeping projects on schedule and within budget. He works to ensure that crews and equipment are on site when they are scheduled. Mr. LaRiviere also prepares client estimates, legal descriptions, boundary analyses and adjustments, topographic and parcel division maps, and ALTA surveys. He is proficient with computer-aiding drafting software and hardware.

He is a graduate of Paul Smith’s College in New York with a degree in surveying and forestry. He is active in the Nevada Association of Land Surveyors, the Sparks Centennial Sunrise Rotary Group, and the Nevada Land Conservancy. He is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Nevada and California.
