Brita A. Tryggvi, AICP
President
Ms. Tryggvi is President of CFA, Inc. She is responsible for the firm's overall operations, oversees all department directors, and ensures that high quality service is provided at all times to all clients. As a planner, her work over the past 27 years has focused on site planning, preparation and processing of development applications, client-agency-staff coordination, interaction with elected and appointed officials, and public presentations.

Ms. Tryggvi has a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Urban Planning from California State University, San Jose. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Her community involvement includes EDAWN where she is on the Board of Trustees, the Truckee Meadows Community College Foundation, the Executives' Association of Reno, the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation, the Urban Land Institute, and the Truckee Donner Land Trust. She served for 16 years as a Planning Commissioner for the Town of Truckee.

Michael J. Miller, P.L.S.
Director of Surveying
Mr. Miller joined CFA in 1998 and has over 30 years of professional survey and mapping experience. As both a Principal of the firm and the Director of the Surveying Department, he is responsible for developing estimates and preparing proposals for survey and mapping projects, preparing easements and various types of recorded mapping, resolving boundary issues, and directing GPS planning operations. Mr. Miller also oversees quality control on all surveying and mapping projects. He is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in California and Nevada and a certified Nevada State Water Rights Surveyor. He is active in the Nevada Association of Land Surveyors, Western Industrial Nevada (WIN), and the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Miller received a Bachelor of Science in Surveying and Photogrammetry from California State University, Fresno.
