Shaun Smith, P.E., LEED AP
Vice President, Director of Engineering
Mr. Smith is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 15 years of civil design experience. He joined CFA in 2001. Mr. Smith is responsible for project layout, design engineering, permit approvals, construction management, and client satisfaction. His areas of expertise includes prompt preparation of grading, drainage, and utility plans, hydrology and sewer reports, cost estimates, and project permitting. Mr. Smith’s project experience encompasses large commercial developments, roadway design, public facilities, and residential subdivisions.

Mr. Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science from Montana Tech of the University of Montana. He is active in the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Public Works Association. He is a licensed civil engineer in Nevada and California. He is also a LEED-Accredited Professional.

Catherine Harrison, P.E.
Project Manager
Ms. Harrison joined CFA in 2005 and is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with her Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering. She worked as a graduate research and lab assistant for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University. Her academic training includes, but is not limited to, physiochemical and biological unit operations, environmental chemistry, and water quality modeling. Ms. Harrison is responsible for the preparation of grading, drainage, site, and utility plans; cost estimates; permitting assistance and construction management. She is a licensed civil engineer in the state of Nevada.

Lonnie Johnson, P.E.
Project Manager
Mr. Johnson has over 10 years experience in the civil engineering field working as a civil, environmental, and research engineer. With his Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Utah State University, Mr. Johnson is highly skilled in water resources engineering and storm water management. His responsibilities include preparation of site, grading, drainage, and utility plans; cost estimating; and permitting assistance. Mr. Johnson also manages construction services during installation of the designed improvements.
