4th Street Station Receives Award from American Society of Civil Engineers

The American Society of Civil Engineers, Truckee Meadows Branch, has recognized 4th Street Station with an award for Outstanding Achievement in Civil Engineering.  The recipients were the Regional Transportation Commission, Parsons Brinckerhoff, and CFA Inc.  Fourth Street Station is the main transit center in downtown Reno.  It replaced the RTC Citicenter located a block west.  The new station accommodates 23 buses that include RTC’s RIDE standard buses and the RTC’s RAPID articulated buses.  The project is seeking LEED Gold Certification from the USGBC for its sustainable design strategies.
